This complex of former industrial buildings from 1930's was renamed Chunming Art Industrial Park in 2004. Within a few years it has introduced more than 130 artists coming from over 10 Chinese Mainland provinces and 16 foreign countries such as UK, France, Italy, Swiss, Israel, Norway and Hong Kong. Today, galleries but also design institutes, architect firms, audio-visual production firms, environmental artists built M50 reputation as "the place to art" in Shanghai. Among them, ShanghArt Gallery and BizArt Center are considered as the best galleries in China.

Shanghai Pudong is famous nationwide for its efficiency in establishing a modern market-economy system. Pudong Lujiazui is now is a real copy of the American “Wall Street”. Lujiazui, which literally means "Lu's Mouth", is located in the Pudong New District on the eastern bank of Huangpu River. It forms a peninsula on a bend of the Huangpu river, which turns from flowing north to flowing east. Also called the "Puding new area", the place gather the most famous towers: the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (468 meters high), The Jin Mao Tower (421 meters high) and the newest Shanghai World Financial Tower (494 meters high). |

Before 1949, where People Square sits now was part of horsing race course of old Shanghai. After the found of New China, horse race was banned, therefore part of race course with avenue becomes of part of People Square now. Not only famous for its above ground buildings, but also People Square have the Chinese biggest underground commercial center. People's Square covers 130,7000 square meters. The green land covers about 80,000 square meters with trees are planted and all kinds of flowers are in blossom. The one distinguish feature of it is that you can feed thousand of pigeions there. |

When the Qing Dynasty was defeated in the Opium War, the Chinese empire was compelled to open many of its cities to the outside world. Shanghai was top of this list. As a result, France is one of foreign countries demanded concessions in these cities where it could have total autonomy. In Shanghai, the French Concession is the most famous of these districts. The Concession once covered an area extending from the Bund to Xiangyang Road. Today, the area known in the city as the French Concession has become remarkably fashionable and charming. There are some great shops and boutiques around here as well as two of the city's best art galleries. |

It is well known that Xintiandi is the place where "yesterday and tomorrow meet in Shanghai today".It has old walls, tiles of 1920's, but its interior is really another world of modern cities.Shikuwen was built in mid 1800's with a Chinese and Western architecture style. However, with the development of the city, Shikuwen could no longer satisfy people's need. The idea of building Xintiandi came from adding Shihuwen with new commercial value to change its old style to a complete new life of world. Thus old Shikuwen was kept, and a new area Xintiandi were built. Now what we mentioned Xintiandi is the place where is fationable pedestrian walk way conposed of Shikumen and mondern architecture. |

Before 1990, XujiaHui is only an industrial area. During 1990, some state-owned factories were sold off. Now Xujiahui is one of the five famous shanghai shopping center. High, middle and low class shopping mall are all gathered here. It is a commercial zone which includes shopping, entertainment, accommodation and office buildings. Yangshan deep-water port is a new port in Hangzhou Bay south of Shanghai. As Shanghai Port is a shallow water port, berths beyond 15 meters underwater can not be built. Therefore Yangshan deep-water port comes to be built for its deep-water advantage. And now it is capable of handling the largest container ships today. The Yangshan Deep-water port is the largest cargo port in the world. It is connected with the land by a 30+ km long bridge in the sea.Yangshan pays an important role as an international transfer hub and help Shanghai secure its postion as an international shipping center. |

Tai Kang Lu, another piece in the puzzle for Shanghai. Formerly a warehouse and local shopping lane, it has been renovated, repaved and a number of small boutiques for clothing, furniture and artifacts have moved in. Zhujiajiao is an ancient town located in the Qingpu District of Shanghai.
Zhujiajiao is a water village and was formed about 1,700 years ago. Archaeological findings dating back 5,000 years have also been found. 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and thousands of ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. Many centuries-old stone buildings are home to residents today, as they were for many dynasties in the past.
The village prospered through clothing and rice businesses. Till today, old historical buildings such as rice shops, banks, spice stores and even a Qing dynasty post office can still be found.

Hangzhou is located in the Yangtze River Delta and the capital of Zhejiang province. Located 180 kilometres southwest of Shanghai, Hangzhou is well-known for its beautiful natural scenery, with the West Lake as the most famous spot. Hangzhou and its West Lake have been immortalized by countless poets and artists. The city was the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty from 1127 until the Mongol invasion of 1276, during that time the city's population is estimated to have been as high as one million, making it the largest city in the world. Even Marco Polo claimed to have passed through, calling it "beyond dispute the finest and the noblest in the world".

Located 120 km west of Shanghai, Suzhou is a city in Jiangsu province. It is famed for its beautiful gardens and traditional waterside architecture. This place was the capital of the kingdom of Wu from the 12th to 4th centuries BC. More recently, it has been a center of the silk trade and a place of canals and gardens; 8 of its Classical Gardens were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. Suzhou has long been a haven for scholars, artists, and skilled craftsmen, and this is still the case today.

Located 450 km southwest of Shanghai, Huangshan is a granite massif consisting of 36 separate peaks, rising above 1,800 metres. Famous throughout Chinese artistic history, Huangshan represents the typical mountain in Chinese paintings. Frequently shrouded in mist, the many peaks appear to float on clouds and have very fanciful names such as 18 Arhats Worshipping the South Sea, Lotus Flower Peak, Celestial Capital, Paint Brush etc... The landscape
is jagged granite peaks clothed in uniquely shaped pine trees create a spectacular landscape of great interest to artists and photographers. The development of walking tracks and cable cars makes this landscape accessible to most active travellers.

Located Shanghai city suburb, Xin Chang Village is an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1700 years.
